Key result

Increased opportunity for adult learners, steady stream of UX talent.

In 2015 I started teaching visual and UX design with General Assembly, a global tech bootcamp. I’ve led dozens of part-time courses and workshops, and co-instructed full-time UX immersives.

Design thinking workshops

My one-day bootcamps draw from the IDEO and Stanford d.school approaches to design thinking. I guide new designers through the process of empathizing with users and reimagining an everyday product or service from their lives, then prototyping and testing their ideas.

Ben was excellent, organized, and embodied the key element of design thinking: empathy.

UX and visual design courses

When preparing professionals for new or renewed careers in design, I stress the importance of stakeholder input (both business leaders and users) and incorporate current and past client projects, tying abstract concepts to real-life work.

Ben is one of the most influential instructors I have ever worked with.
